What this website does

Home Fieldnotes serves articles and a browser-based search. It does not operate visitor accounts, a newsletter, payments, a contact submission form, advertising tags, or third-party analytics in this edition.

Search and observation notes

Search terms may appear in the page URL. They can therefore be present in browser history, a link you share, and hosting request records. Avoid putting personal or sensitive information in search.

Article checkboxes and notes remain in the open page’s memory. They are not sent to us and are not saved in local storage. Reloading or leaving the page clears them. The download button creates a text file on your own device.

Hosting and access

The hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP address, time, and browser details, to serve and secure the website. Private access may require the provider’s authentication. Those systems operate under the provider’s own policies; we do not claim that browsing is anonymous.

Cookies and external links

Our site code does not set advertising cookies or load remote fonts. The hosting or sign-in service may use its own necessary cookies. Source links lead to external websites whose practices differ from ours.

Changes and questions

Before adding ads, analytics, forms, or public contact collection, this notice must be updated for the actual data flow and applicable requirements. For this review edition, raise questions with the person who shared the site with you through the contact guidance.
